What do you love about SWIB? Coming from a male dominated field, I am personally passionate about helping women find mentors and succeed in business. SWIB is a critical institution because it provides resources for learning (e.g., workshops on how to negotiate salary) and a community of mentors. I also love getting to know and work with a bunch of other passionate ladies!
Favorite part about Stern: I am consistently impressed by how humble, down-to-earth, and self-aware my classmates are. In the thick of recruiting and midterms, when stress is high, it has been such a relief to turn to friends for non-work conversations, support, and humor. Sternies truly celebrate each other’s successes, which is a unique thing in business school!
Advice for women considering pursuing business school: 1) Don’t waste time doubting yourself. Even if you have to fake it until you make it, remember that you are giving your best effort on each application. 2) Listen to the people who know you best. When my parents, husband, and best friend all told me I’d be happiest at Stern, I knew they were right.
Fun Fact: I don't drink caffeine (and am somehow still surviving b-school).
