Kathie Andrade, TIAA
Kathie Andrade is CEO of TIAA's Retail Financial Services business. In her current role, she leads the business unit dedicated to individual customers, helping them manage their finances and achieve a lifetime of financial well-being. Her organization offers customized financial advice and a broad set of savings and investment solutions, including education savings, life insurance and banking services.
Kathie joined TIAA in 2008 as chief operating officer for Individual Advisory Services, bringing with her extensive experience defining and executing strategies that have enabled top-line results across a broad range of businesses, including alternative investments, brokerage, ecommerce, and commercial and private banking. She is known for recruiting and growing top talent and is highly regarded for her ability to align organizations for peak effectiveness.
Most recently, she served as president of Individual Advisory Services. Before TIAA, Kathie worked for Bank of America and its predecessor organizations for more than 20 years. She held various leadership positions throughout her tenure, including transition leadership roles during Bank of America’s acquisitions of Fleet, Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust.
Kathie received a B.S. in accounting and finance from Providence College. She serves on the board of City Year Providence, and was named one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Finance” in 2015, 2016, 2017 by American Banker.
