Deirdre Alphenaar, Director - Point72


Deirdre joined Point72 as a Director in the Market Intelligence group in early 2018. Market Intelligence conducts fundamental research and combines it with novel analytical techniques, macro and sell-side research, and quantitative methodologies to give the firm's investment teams new insights and products to generate alpha-producing ideas. Prior to joining Point72, Deirdre was the Chief Research & Development Officer for US-based information services company, Genscape (a division of the Daily Mail and General Trust DMGT). There she scaled the R&D division from early start-up through acquisition and growth phases and led the invention of several market-moving data products for Commodities and Energy trading. Deirdre has worked in a variety of scientific research roles including remote sensing, materials science and medical physics in the US and UK.

Deirdre earned her B.Sc. degree in Physics from the National University of Ireland (Galway), and a PhD in Physics from the University of Surrey, UK. She has authored several scientific papers and holds over 10 US and several international patents. She serves on the board of directors for the Louisville Visual Art Association in Kentucky.

Tess Caputo, Principal - BCG


Tess Caputo is a Principal in the New York office of Boston Consulting Group. Since joining BCG in 2013, Tess has worked extensively with global biopharmaceutical companies on a wide range of topics, including sales & marketing, org & operating model, and strategic planning. Prior to BCG, Tess worked as a management consultant focused on the Life Sciences industry and as an IT consultant for the Federal Government. Tess holds an MBA with distinction from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Economics from Duke University. She enjoys travel, reading novels, and spending time with her husband and twin toddlers.

Cara Devins, Training Program Manager, Google Marketing Platform - Google


Cara Devins is a Training Program Manager at Google where she has worked in several capacities for the past 7 years. Cara started there in account management and also worked in product specialist roles before developing an interest in training and education.  Cara has an undergraduate degree from Boston College and got her MBA at Stern which she participated in the Langone Part Time Program. She is involved in the Tutormate program which is an online reading program with children in underserved communities and she is involved with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York where she has written for a several shows.

Ritu Narula, Counsel - Schiff Hardin LLP


Ritu advises public and private companies on regulatory compliance, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions. She focuses on advising clients that develop a range of mobility solutions, including autonomous vehicles, connectivity, and transportation technologies.

Ritu serves as a strategist, dot connector, and idea generator to help entrepreneurs develop end-to-end compliance programs tailored to their unique risk profile, while still remaining nimble and growth-driven. With her counsel, companies have drafted compliance tools, education, and communications to address potential risks in various legal areas, including antitrust, data privacy, ethics, antibribery, and state and local transportation laws.

Ritu brings in-house experience from more than two years in the enterprise services division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (and its successors), where she served as primary legal counsel advising commercial leaders on tech transactions, growth opportunities, contract negotiations, and all aspects of ongoing commercial matters.

Prior to that, Ritu spent more than five years working at global law firms, advising both public and private clients on mergers and acquisitions and investment activity. Ritu has experience working with clients across multiple industries, including the technology, automotive, and energy sectors.

Alyssa Stein, Head of Industry for Media & Platforms - Google


Alyssa Stein is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and attended the University of Michigan Ross School of Business before starting her career at Microsoft in 2006.  Alyssa started on the AdExchange Team at Google as an Agency Account Executive in 2010. In 2013, Alyssa helped launch AdX Video globally as well as the AdX business in Latin America. Most recently, Alyssa has been Head of Industry for the Platforms team. In addition to working at Google, Alyssa completed her MBA at NYU studying management and digital strategy in 2013.  Alyssa currently resides in NYC with her husband Evan.

Lanchi Venator, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Finance & IT - Estee Lauder

Lanchi Venator is currently Vice President of Finance & Strategy and Chief of Staff to the EVP & CFO of The Estee Lauder Companies effective as of 2017. Ms. Venator also acts as the Chief of Staff to Ms. Tracey Travis, Executive Vice President and CFO for the Estee Lauder Companies. Previously, Ms. Venator served in other roles such as Vice President and Head of Global Strategic Pricing for the Estee Lauder Companies, head of North America Strategic Planning and Key Initiatives with Avon Products Inc., head of merchant pricing strategy for Travel and Entertainment Industry and industries new to credit card acceptance with American Express, and consultant with A.T. Kearney.

Prior to moving to New York City, Ms. Venator lived and worked in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and Germany – studying and working in a variety of roles, including market research consultant for multinational consumer products firms and Asia sales and distribution for art book publishers. Ms. Venator has a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies and Economics from the University of California, Davis and an MBA in Finance and Management from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
