Mia Hegazy, VP of Catalyst Investors

Mia joined Catalyst in 2013 and is responsible for deal origination through writing research reports, formulating investment strategies & conducting company outreach. In addition to deal sourcing, she supports the deal team on target company due diligence, transaction execution & portfolio management.

Formerly an investment banking analyst with New York-based Berenson & Company, Mia worked on M&A and restructuring transactions across a number of industries, with a focus on technology and media.

Mia earned a BA in Economics and a BA in Urban Studies from Brown University.

Anisha Malhotra, Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets, GPB Capital

Ms. Malhotra is currently a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at GPB Capital, a middle market private equity firm.  Prior to joining GPB Capital, Ms. Malhotra spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs where she was a Vice President and senior member of the Debt Underwriting Group. She has structured and executed refinancings, repricings, acquisition financings, and amendments for companies with debt facilities ranging from $20M to $4B. Her experience includes managing a portfolio of leveraged loans spanning across several industries, geographies as well as risk profiles.  Ms. Malhotra began her career at JP Morgan Chase where she helped identify acquisition targets and international strategy for the firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Donna Redel, Managing Director, New York Angels

Donna Redel is a businesswoman, investor and philanthropist.  She was the managing director of The World Economic Forum, the foremost global organization combining business, political, academic, and other leaders of society committed to improving the state of the world. Ms. Redel was the first woman to chair of a USA exchange, The Commodity Exchange.  Following her work in global organizations, Ms, Redel currently is a New York City based Advisor and Investor focusing on financial technology, Blockchain and emerging technologies. She is an active participant in the startup community with New York Angels where she serves on the board and chairs both the blockchain and education committee. Her public service efforts are the environment, the art, and promoting women’s leadership. Ms Redel has  a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, an M.B.A. from Columbia University and her B.A. from Barnard College.

Hannah Shore, MBA Student, NYU Stern School of Business

Hannah is in the first year of the MBA program at NYU Stern, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Finance.Hannah is the President of Stern’s Venture Capital Club (SPEC) and a fellow for InSITE, advising start-ups across NYC. She is currently interning with the New York Angels and will be working with Samsung’s Brand Marketing group this summer.

Formerly a project manager at Refinery29 and the independent production company, Process Media, Hannah worked on short-form digital content and feature films. 

Hannah grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned a BA in International Economics from UCLA. After undergrad, Hannah spent one year teaching English in Madrid, Spain before moving to New York.
